ZOE NECOWITZ

Zoe Necowitz (she/her) is a recent graduate of Temple University with a BA in Theater Arts with a concentration in acting and education in May 2024. She is currently in graduate school at Temple University to receive her Masters of Education to teach English and Theater for Grades 7-12. Zoe is a passionate musical theater performer and educator.

Growing up, Zoe got in trouble a lot because she loved to lie, but everything changed when her second grade teacher told her she should do theater, or as she saw it, "lying in a healthy way." Through the power of storytelling and music, she found community, belonging, and purpose in creating art on the stage. She is committed to sharing this art form’s ability to reflect and deepen our humanity and creativity with others through teaching and performing.

Zoe is based in Philadelphia, but has performed around Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. She is extremely passionate about TYA (Theater for Young Audiences), and is dedicated to creating and teaching theater that allows young minds to be creative, explore, and experiment. Zoe is overjoyed to be joining the PlayArts team to continue her journey of inspiring and nurturing the next generation of performers and creators!
